Cory Wessman is an attorney and shareholder with the Minneapolis law firm of Erickson & Wessman, P.A. Cory practices law exclusively in the areas of estate planning, trust and estate administration, and business succession planning.

Cory assists a wide range of clients with the implementation of an estate plan. For clients who own small businesses, a family cabin, or other unique assets, he helps these clients consider their options for an efficient succession plan. Cory also assists families with tax, probate and trust administration matters following the death of a loved one.

Cory obtained his undergraduate degree from Wheaton College in Illinois, where he was a second-team all-conference third baseman on the varsity baseball team. Cory completed a master’s degree in economics from Iowa State University. Cory then attended the University of St. Thomas School of Law, where he was a member of the first graduating class in 2004.

Cory and his wife, Heather, now live in Minnetonka with their sons, Owen and Brendan, and their daughter, Kinsley. Following the sudden death of Cory and Heather’s oldest son, Micah, in July of 2009, Cory and Heather founded Hope for the Mourning, a nonprofit organization which provides practical assistance and Christian resources to families grieving the death of a young child. Cory is a board member of Smile Again Ministries, a grief retreat for families grieving the death of a child. Cory is an active member of Kingdom Advisors and Redeemer Bible Church in Minnetonka.
